ANRE closes the door on speculative projects. Romania’s energy market enters a new phase

ANRE is changing the rules of the game for energy projects in Romania.

Through the new amendments regarding grid connection and project authorization, the market is now facing two clear financial filters:

• The grid connection guarantee increases from 5% to 20% of the connection tariff.

For the same project, the capital locked can become 4 times higher.

•  A new guarantee of €30/kW installed is introduced for the establishment authorization.

For a 5 MW project, that means €150,000 tied up from the establishment-authorization stage — until the works are officially accepted as completed.

The message is simple: grid capacity can no longer be occupied by projects without real financing.

The market is being cleaned up. Serious projects remain.

Relevant suppliers must be visible exactly now.
