Solar parks worth over 550 million euros for schools, hospitals and city halls

According to the Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, over 1,000 financing contracts have recently been signed in 27 counties for solar park projects intended for public entities.
The funding will be allocated from the Modernization Fund, with the objective of supplying renewable energy to public institutions: schools, hospitals or city halls.
"Just this week we signed 47 new contracts, with a total project value of approximately 325 million lei (over 65 million euros). The non-reimbursable financing from the Modernization Fund covers about 296 million lei, and the capacity installed through these projects is over 47 MW," the minister states, quoted by zf.ro.
Thus, at the national level, according to the same source, the balance reaches 1,010 contracts with a total value of almost 2.75 billion lei (over 550 million euros), with a total installed capacity of over 390 MW.
Through these new renewable energy production capacities, public institutions will achieve significant budget savings with multiple beneficial effects, both financial and environmental.
