According to the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), at the beginning of 2023, there were almost 40,200 prosumers in Romania, which totalled an installed power of 423 MW, which means an increase of approximately three times, compared to the situation existing at the end of 2022.
As for the estimates for the current year, the ANRE data reveal the fact that in 2023 at least 100,000 new prosumers will appear in our country.
On the ANRE website, you can find various informative materials, useful for those who want to invest in renewable energy.
Energy analysts state that the evolution of the number of prosumers is directly influenced both by legislative changes, by simplifying the legal procedures for those who wish to become prosumers and also by the increase in energy prices. Of course, support schemes can be added to these, which can be accessed by individuals, private individuals and state institutions, interested in producing their own energy.
If we also add the announced investments in photovoltaic and wind parks, estimated at around 40,000 MW, underway, to the figures regarding the prosumers, we can say that 2023 is announced to be, by far, the Year of renewable energies.
