After an exceptional year in 2023 for renewable energies, here comes 2024, ambitious to surpass it.

If we refer only to prosumers, at the end of 2023 there were over 110,000 units, totaling 1,500 MW, producing their own energy, while for the current year, according to moderate estimates, Romania will reach 2,500 MW.

Investments in residential photovoltaics are supplemented by investments in PV parks, biomass, biogas, hydroenergy, and wind energy.
According to the energy strategy, by 2030, Romania aims to invest over 17 billion euros in energy production, with renewables representing 36%, a significant portion of the funding coming from PNIESC (National Integrated Energy and Climate Change Plan), thus aiming for our country to become an important regional player in this part of Europe.
