In a booming market, the RoEnergy Romania Trade Fair kicks off its 7th edition on September 25-27, 2024, in Timișoara

• In Romania, Investments in Renewable Energy Break Records After Records

(Press release - 01/15/2024)

Market sources reveal an undeniable aspect: the star of renewables will continue to be, also in 2024, the prosumer, with Romanians showing an unusual appetite in their desire to become electricity producers. With or without state subsidy, despite some things not always working as they should, Romanians eagerly want to produce their home's energy independently.

The best proof? Thousands of homeowners in Romania continue to install photovoltaic systems on their roofs every month; just in November 2023, according to ANRE, 6,400 people became prosumers.

The total capacity of prosumers reached, according to Transelectrica's information, 1,299 MW, thus representing the number one energy investor in Romania in 2023.

Out of the total number of prosumers recorded at the end of November 2023, 92,567 were individuals, while 14,432 were legal entities. In terms of installed power, at the end of November 2023, prosumers were injecting 1,388 MW into the grid (equivalent to both reactors at Cernavodă), representing an increase of 100 MW compared to October 2023.

Also according to ANRE, Romania ended 2023 with over 100,000 prosumers, thus confirming the authorities' estimates made at the end of 2022.
But 2024 is shaping up to be a successful year not only for solar energy (residential systems and parks), with the energy price and the need to become more energy-efficient driving ambitious plans also in the biomass, biogas, hydropower, and wind sectors.

Registrations Open For the #1 Renewables Energy Trade Fair

In this context, the continuation of organizing the RoEnergy Romania Trade Fair, aimed at supporting the transition to a green economy by facilitating contacts between producers/suppliers of non-polluting technologies and consumers, is more anticipated than ever.

In 2024, the RoEnergy Timișoara Trade Fair, exhibition, and conferences under the same roof, will reach its 7th edition in the western part of the country, with 8th editions taking place in Bucharest, thus reaffirming its position as the largest event dedicated to renewable energies in Romania.

The #1 meeting place of the renewable industry in our country, the RoEnergy Romania Trade Fair continues to bring together, year after year since 2010, uninterrupted, except for the pandemic years, the most relevant actors in the field: authorities, professional associations, the academic environment, companies, and mass media.

The RoEnergy Romania Trade Fair covers areas such as solar/photovoltaic, geothermal energy, biomass, biogas, cogeneration, micro-hydropower, wind energy, energy efficiency, BMS, etc.
