Investments in renewable energies continue to be supported through various subsidies, so the support scheme of the European Commission should be added to the forms of support allocated up to now.
According to its own announcement, the European Commission approved on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, a state aid support scheme for Romania, within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with a budget of 259 million euros, to support investments in batteries, cells and photovoltaic panels.
In this support scheme, which will run until 31 December 2024, aid will be granted in the form of direct subsidies to companies that will be active in the production, assembly and recycling of batteries, cells and photovoltaic panels, which are located in the area . Romania eligible for regional aid, according to the regional aid map in Romania.
According to European Commission policy, the measure aims to contribute to regional development by targeting sectors with growing demand, which will support the creation of jobs that require a skilled workforce, as well as a more sustainable and competitive economy. and to encourage the ecological transition of Romania and the EU.
